The Union of Polish Traders and Artisans (UCAP) had the honour of participating in the Warsaw Food Expo, one of the most important professional meetings in Central Europe dedicated to the agri-food sector.
Officially invited by Tomasz Szypuła, Chairman of the Board of PTAK Warsaw Expo, UCAP is particularly proud to be the only organisation representing the French Polonia to have been invited to this large-scale international event.
This invitation is a true recognition of the work carried out for over thirty years to promote Polish culture, support Polish-origin traders and artisans, and strengthen ties between France and Poland.
During this visit, UCAP had the immense privilege of exchanging views with several key figures in Polish economic, diplomatic, and institutional life.
Among them, Tomasz Szypuła, President of the Board of Directors of the PTAK Warsaw Expo, the leading exhibition and congress centre in Central Europe, Vice-President of the National Chamber of Commerce of Poland, President of the Association of Polish Clothing Manufacturers, President of the Regional Council for Social Dialogue of the Masovian Voivodeship and advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland as well as to the Minister of Foreign Affairs on economic issues and the development of international relations.
The UCAP also had the honour of exchanging with Janusz Piechociński, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland, former Minister of Economy and current President of the Poland-Asia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a key figure in the Polish economic world.
This meeting was also an opportunity to reconnect with our friend Jerzy Drożdż, Ambassador at Large, former Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Lille from 1995 to 1999, President of the Polish-Turkish Business Council at the National Chamber of Commerce of Poland and a member of the diplomatic advisory body of this institution.
His attachment to Hauts-de-France is particularly strong, having served his diplomatic functions in Lille for several years. More recently, he honoured us with his presence at the Poland Fair in Douvrin on 8 November 2025, once again demonstrating his interest and support for the actions undertaken by the UCAP in favour of promoting Polish culture and fostering closer ties between France and Poland.
Over the years, a genuine relationship of trust and friendship has been built between him and our association, making each of our meetings a particularly valuable moment of exchange.
Beyond these institutional meetings, this presence at the Warsaw Food Expo also allowed for encounters with numerous leaders and representatives of companies that are among the jewels of the Polish economy. Several of these companies hold a leading position in their respective markets and contribute to the economic prominence of Poland in Europe and internationally.
These high-level exchanges testify to the credibility gained by UCAP over the years and open new perspectives for cooperation between Polish economic actors and the Franco-Polish community.
More than ever, UCAP continues its mission: to keep the Polish heritage alive in Hauts-de-France, promote Polish know-how, and contribute to strengthening the friendship between France and Poland.
